Utah requires front side windows to let in at least 43% of light. Behind the driver — rear sides and back glass — any darkness is legal. Windshield tint is allowed only above the AS-1 line. We'll show you legal shades on your actual vehicle before you commit.
Dyed film darkens the glass; ceramic film actually rejects heat. At the same shade, ceramic keeps the cabin dramatically cooler, blocks 99% of UV, and won't interfere with GPS or phone signal. Both carry the lifetime warranty — ceramic costs more and is worth it if you park outside.
They solve different problems. Paint protection film is a physical layer that absorbs rock chips and scratches — the only real defense on I-15 gravel season. Ceramic coating adds gloss and makes washing easier but won't stop a chip. Many customers film the front end and coat the rest.
A quality wrap, professionally installed and reasonably cared for, lasts 5–7 years in Utah. Garage parking and hand washing extend that; it also protects the factory paint underneath, which helps resale.

Most vehicles are done in 1.5–3 hours — drop off in the morning, pick up after lunch. Keep windows up for 2–4 days while the film cures; slight haze or small water pockets in that window are normal and disappear.
Our SunTek film is warrantied for as long as you own the vehicle against fading, purpling, peeling, bubbling and delamination. If the film fails, we replace it — film and labor. Keep your receipt; that's it.
